INGREDIENTS
The City of Albany was founded in 1912. Our little log cabin has been here since 1930, a Sears Roebuck catalog home. Built from a kit, it overlooked the Bay back then.
In it’s checkered past, it has been a speakeasy, a roadhouse and an off-track betting joint with a direct line to the track at Golden Gate Fields.
But by the 90s, times had changed and the Cabin’s then new management cleaned up it’s act. Sam’s became best known as a great spot for brunch with a warm, friendly, locals feeling and vintage charm. With new management on board starting in 2011, Sam's has flourished, creating a garden retreat and an updated sustainable menu focused on local growers.

It's said that we eat with our eyes first. We strive to make food that tastes even more beautiful than it looks.
First and foremost, we are about sustainable good food: local organic produce, house-baked scones, biscuits, and corn bread, and house-cured and butchered pastured local meats.
We feature daily specials at breakfast and lunch, fresh soups made from scratch, and refreshing seasonal salads made with gorgeous local greens.

No reservations. Friendly dogs are welcome.
We accept parties of 6 or less.
Take out is available by phone Tues-Fri, but on a limited basis depending on how busy our little kitchen is.
